The Beginning
From Jalandhar to NIT Warangal β and back.
Er. Neeraj Anand was born and raised in Jalandhar. After completing his schooling, he left for NIT Warangal β one of India’s premier engineering institutions β where he spent four years studying Electronics and Communication Engineering. Those years, he has said, changed how he saw the world: not just the science, but the possibility of what a good education could do.
He came back to Jalandhar in 1996. Not to take up a corporate job or settle into something comfortable. He came back to teach. That choice β deliberate, quiet, and then decades long β is what Anand Classes was built on.
“When I stand at the podium to teach these bright stars of India, what a satisfying feeling it is.”
β Er. Neeraj Anand
Inside the Classroom
He still teaches every class himself.
At most coaching institutes, the founder becomes an administrator over time β someone whose name appears on the brochure but not on the timetable. At Anand Classes, Er. Neeraj Anand personally teaches the classes, designs the study material, and is available to clear doubts one-on-one whenever a student needs it β even separately, outside scheduled hours.
The study material is updated every year. Not reprinted β updated. Because the JEE and NEET patterns shift, and he believes a student should be prepared for the exam as it actually is, not as it was five years ago.
His classroom approach is grounded in one principle: basics first, always. A student who understands why a formula works can solve problems they’ve never seen before. One who has only memorised it can’t. That distinction drives every class he teaches.
Beyond Teaching
He built an institution around education β not just a coaching centre.
In 2002, alongside running Anand Classes, Er. Neeraj Anand founded Anand Technical Publishers β a publishing house focused on academic and competitive exam books. Over the years it grew into a respected name in the field, with over 400 titles published across Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, and Information Technology.
In 2014, he launched National Education News β a newspaper dedicated to academic developments in India. It was built on a simple observation: students and parents often lack timely, reliable information about exams, eligibility, and institutional changes. The newspaper was his attempt to close that gap.
Three ventures. One city. One person at the centre of all of them β still teaching.

Teaching Philosophy
Understanding first. Results follow.
The way Er. Neeraj Anand teaches hasn’t changed much in 30 years β not because it hasn’t been reconsidered, but because it keeps working. The core idea is simple: a student who genuinely understands a subject can handle any question the exam throws at them.
That belief shapes everything β the way classes are structured, the way doubts are cleared, the way tests are used not to rank students but to show each student exactly where they need more work.
Basics before shortcuts
Every topic is taught from the ground up. Formulae are derived, not just handed over. Students who understand the why can solve what they’ve never seen before.
Individual attention, no exceptions
Every student gets attention β not just the toppers. Doubts are cleared one-on-one, separately if needed, regardless of where a student stands in the batch.
Tests that teach, not just rank
Weekly tests are reviewed individually. Students learn where they’re weak before the exam finds out. Results are used as feedback, not just scores.
Material that’s actually current
Study material is written and updated every year by Er. Neeraj Anand himself β built around the exam as it is today, not five years ago.
400+ books. Written by the same person who teaches the class.
Since founding Anand Technical Publishers in 2002, Er. Neeraj Anand has authored over a hundred books across Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, and Information Technology. They’re used by students preparing for JEE, NEET, board exams, and competitive tests across India.
The books are written the same way he teaches β concept-first, with worked examples, previous year questions, and problem sets that build understanding rather than just test recall.
